WHAT CONDITION DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept quality furniture & home goods in nearly-new condition. All consignment MUST BE CLEAN and ready to be presented for resale. The better it looks, the better it sells!

Upholstered and Leather Furniture

Should be vacuumed on top of and under cushions
-
Free of rips, stains, tears, and worn upholstery
-
Free from discoloration from sunlight or inconsistency of fabric
-
Smoke-free/ Odor free/ Free of pet hair
-
Stable construction
-
-
Hard Goods (Tables, Bookcases, Bedroom furniture, etc…)
-
Dust and cobweb free.
-
Free of watermarks and discoloration.
-
Free of major scratches, chips, or other noticeable flaws.

No broken or missing hardware pieces. Drawers and doors must operate properly.

Legs and frame must be sturdy

* There will be a quality inspection of your pieces after arrival at the store prior to final acceptance for consignment. We reserve the right to decline any items that do not meet our quality standards. A cleaning fee of $25 PER ITEM will be charged if an item(s) requires excessive cleaning prior to displaying.

WHAT ARE YOUR CONSIGNMENT TERMS?

Our consignment periods are as follows: ​

Furniture: 90 day consignment period. (Consignor’s commission is 60% of actual selling price)

Home Goods: 60 day consignment period. (Consignor’s commission is 50% of actual selling price)
-
Seasonal: 60 day consignment period. (Consignor’s commission is 50% of actual selling price)

The consignment period begins when the item is priced and placed on the sales floor. This is typically within a few days of your drop off day. Items left 90 days after the consignment will be transferred to the store for liquidation and/or donation to a charitable organization.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY PAYMENT FOR CONSIGNED ITEMS?

For your convenience, we have an online Consignor Portal which allows you to track the status your items, view pricing, commissions, payouts and pickup dates. When your account was created, you received an email with a link to your Consignor Portal, as well as your Consignor ID & Password. You are responsible for monitoring all items that you place on consignment. (https://consigntill.com/ct4/MidtownEclectic/)

All Checks are available for pick up at the front registers at Midtown Mall during regular business hours.

We Do NOT mail checks. Checks must be picked up in-person only.

Checks not picked up after 3 months will be expired and forfeited to store credit.

WHAT IF MY ITEM DOESN'T SELL?

You are responsible for monitoring the status of all items that you place on consignment. Due to the large number of consignors we partner with, we do not contact consignors that have unsold items. Please mark your calendar and monitor your online Consignor Portal for the actual expiration date of your item(s).

If you wish to retrieve your unsold items, you must do so within 3 months after the end of the consignment period. Midtown retains the right to sell those items until they are removed by the consignor or his/her designated representative.

​Contact the store to arrange a day to pickup unsold items. Consignors are responsible for bringing their own packing material for fragile items as well as labor to load heavy items.

Items left in the store 3 months after the consignment period ends, will be converted to the store. It will either be donated outright or sold at clearance and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to our charitable organization for the season.
